Appetizers – How To Make Applebee’s Quesadilla’s – Jeremiah’s Dining-In

Welcome to Living Better TV where I show you how to eat better and live better through healthy ingredients and healthy habits.

Today on Jeremiah’s Dining-In I am making Applebee’s Quesadillas. I’ve cut the cost from $7.79 to $3.58 per serving without sacrificing that delicious taste. I also have customized the recipe using vegan cheddar cheese and vegan pepper jack cheese along with a vegan bacon. You can of course use standard cheese and bacon if you desire. Follow along to learn how to make Applebee’s Quesadillas so you don’t have to eat at Applebee’s alone. Enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Flour Totillas – 2
Butter – 3 TBS
Pepperjack Cheese – 1/2 Cup
Cheddar Cheese – 1/2 Cup
Tomato – 1/2
Onion – 1/2
Jalapeno Pepper – 1
Bacon – 6 slices
Cilantro – 1 TBS.
Salt – to taste

Garlic Cloves – 2
Lime Juice – 1/2
Green Onion – 1
Avocado – 2
Salt – to taste

Begin by mincing your garlic, slicing the green onion, cutting and juicing the lime. Add these items to a bowl and add some salt and avocados. Mash well. Then prepare the onion, tomato, cilantro, bacon and jalapeno. Strain the vegetables and cook the bacon. Chop up the bacon when cooked and mix remaining quesadilla ingredients. Butter 1 side of 2 tortillas and place 1 tortilla, butter side down, in a heated pan. Add about 2-3 TBS. of the quesadilla filling to the heating tortilla and add the top tortilla, butter side facing up. Cook each tortilla side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden. Slice up the quesadilla and serve with sour cream, guacamole and sour cream.
