1999 spot capitalizes (get it?) on the .com IPO mania by selling Applebee’s restaurant as if it were a hot new stock. Traders yell in excitement over the image of a burger on the screen in front of them.

Honestly, I think if you offered up shares in a burger joint in 1999, they probably would have gone way up too. Investors were not too selective. Krispy Kreme for example was talked up as if it were a tech stock on CNBC (the unofficial home of .com mania) in during its IPO in 2000.
