Di’s Recipes & Videos @ I make mine with milk that I heat in the microwave, so the mashed potatoes stay hot. Without milk, they won’t be creamy, but you can use low fat or skim milk for this recipe. Garlic mashed red potatoes are my favorites, but I do make regular mashers with russet potatoes as well! Using the mixer helps to get them light and fluffy. You can mash them by hand and they should come out without lumps, as long as they are fully cooked. I hate lumps in mashed potatoes! They are perfect with gravy too! I have a Mushroom Gravy or you could call it Mushroom Sauce, that is over the top! I had it with these potatoes and a pan seared Filet Mignon that I cooked along with some Roasted Asparagus and it was heaven! You wouldn’t believe how simple and easy it was to make everything! Oh, I almost forgot about the Caesar Salad with Homemade Croutons! A Really great idea for Valentine’s Day Dinner or any special occasion (Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc) You should give them a try!
