• 240ml/1 Cup Warm Water
• 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
• 2 tsp Dry Yeast
• 350g/ 2 ½ Cups All-Purpose Flour
• 1 tsp Salt
• 125g/ ½ Cup Salted Butter
• 50g/ 2 tbsp Melted Butter
• ½ tsp Garlic Powder

Step 1
In a bowl combine the warm water, the sugar and the yeast. Stir a little bit and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is activated.

Step 2
Combine the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt. Add the salted butter and using your hands, mix the softened butter into the flour until well combined. Add the flour mixture into the yeast mixture in 2 batches and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until all ingredients are combined and the dough is formed. In case it is too sticky, add a little bit more flour. Cover the bowl with a plastic foil and let it rise until doubled in size, for about 1 to 2 hours.

Step 3
Once the dough has doubled, measure out 60 g dough portions. Roll each one into sticks that are about 7 inches long. Place the dough sticks onto the prepared baking sheets, cover and let them sit for 30 minutes.

Step 4
Preheat the oven at 200°C and bake them for 10 minutes, or until just beginning to lightly brown. In the meantime, we will combine 50g melted butter with half teaspoon garlic powder. Just after the breadsticks come out of the oven, brush them with the butter mixture. Bon appetit!
