Super Easy… Onion Chutney!

Oil – 3 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Red Chillis – 5 nos
Shallots – 1 cup
Tamarind – 1 small piece (soaked)

For Tempering
Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
Few Curry leaves

1. Heat oil in a pan
2. Add urad dal, red chillis and shallots and saute
3. When the onions turn transparent, turn off the stove and let it cool
4. Put the onions in to a mixer and add the soaked tamarind and salt
5. Grind it to a fine paste (do not add water)
6. Now in the same pan, add oil and tempering ingredients
(urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida powder)
7. Turn off the flame and add curry leaves.
8. Add this to the grounded chutney and your Onion Chutney is ready to serve… Enjoy and share the joy ­čÖé
