Ouzi Chicken Rice
Serves 5-6
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Chicken boneless cubes ½ kg
-Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) ½ tbs
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp
-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Tomato paste 1-2 tbs
-Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
-Cooking oil 1-2 tbs
-Badam (Almonds) peeled 15-16
-Kishmish (Raisins) 2 tbs
-Cooking oil 2 tbs
-Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 large
-Gajar (Carrots) cubes ½ Cup
-Matar (Peas) ½ Cup
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp
-Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ¼ tsp
-Jaifil powder (Nutmeg powder) ¼ tsp
-Chicken cubes 2
-Water 4 Cups or as required
-Chawal (Rice) basmati 2 & ½ Cup (soaked)
-Water ½ Cup
-Samosa patti
-Anday ki zardi (Egg yolk) whisked 1
-Paprika powder

Directions:
-In a bowl,add chicken,garlic paste,salt,black pepper powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder,tomato paste,mix well,cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
-In frying pan,add cooking oil & fry marinated chicken from all sides until done & set aside.
-In a pot,add cooking oil,almonds & fry until light golden.
-Add raisins and fry for 30 seconds & take out for later use.
-In the same pot,add cooking oil,onion and saute until translucent.
-Add carrots,peas and mix well.
-Add salt,turmeric powder,black pepper powder,cardamom powder,nutmeg powder and mix well.
-Add chicken cubes,fried almonds & raisins and water,mix well & bring it to boil,cover & cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
-Add rice & mix well.
-Add water & bring to boil,cover & steam cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
-In a deep bowl,arrange (overlap) samosa patti,add cooked rice,cooked chicken pieces,cooked rice & press gently.
-Now cover the rice with samosa patti.
-Apply egg yolk and fold the ends of samosa patti & seal with egg yolk.
-Flip the bowl on baking tray,apply egg yolk & sprinkle paprika powder.
-Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.
-Serve hot!

-Bowl mein chicken,lehsan paste,namak,kali mirch powder,zeera powder,haldee powder aur tomato paste dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker 30 minutes kliya marinate ker lein.
-Frying pan mein cooking oil dal dein aur marinated chicken ko tamam sides sa pak janay tak paka lein & side per rakh dein.
-Pot mein cooking oil aur badam dal dein aur light golden hunay tak fry ker lein.
-Kishmish dal ker 30 seconds kliya fry karein & bad mein use kernay kliya side per rakh dein.
-Us he pot mein cooking oil aur pyaz dal dein aur translucent hunay tak saute ker lein.
-Gajar aur matar dal ker mix karein.
-Namak,haldee powder,kali mirch powder,elaichi powder aur jaifil powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Chicken cubes,fried badam & kishmish aur pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad halki ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Chawal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Pani dal ker ubal lein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya steam cook ker lein.
-Deep bowl mein samosa patti ko arrange (overlap) ker lein,cooked chawal,cooked chicken pieces aur cooked chawal dal ker gently press ker lein.
-Chawal ko samosa patti sa cover ker lein.
-Anday ki zardi laga lein aur samosa patti ki edges ko fold karein aur anday ki zardi laga ker seal ker lein.
-Bowl ko baking tray per flip ker lein aur anday ki zardi laga lein aur paprika powder sprinkle ker lein.
-Preheated oven mein 180 C per 10 minutes kliya bake ker lein.
-Garam serve karein!
